Q: What is an NFSI Certification?

A: These products have been tested by the National Floor Safety Institute per the NFSI 101-C Test Method and have passed the NFSI “High-Traction” standard.

Q: What are the benefits of using anti-fatigue floor mats for welders?

A: Anti-fatigue mats are designed to offer a wide range of benefits to, particularly those working in welding applications where staff is standing in one place for long periods of time.

Q: How do anti-fatigue mats increase employee productivity?

A: Fatigue eventually leads to lack of focus and concentration on the task at hand. Anti-fatigue mats reduce worker fatigue allowing them to remain focused on the job at hand.

Q: How is WeldSafe different from other workstation mats?

A: WeldSafe mats have a rubber topped surface designed to protect against hot metal shards, sparks and splatter. Unlike PVC topped anti-fatigue mats, rubber has much higher heat tolerance.

Q: How do I clean my WeldSafe mat?

A: Sweep regularly or dry-mop the surface. These mats can be wet-mopped with mild soap or detergent. For best results, use a detergent with a pH between 4 and 9.

Q: Are custom sizes available?

A: WeldSafe workstation mats can be made to any size, shape or configuration.

Q: There 2 sides to my mat. Which side do I stand on?

A: The rubber top side of the welding mat is the side with the texture pattern. The Sponge side of the mat touches the floor.

Q: I just took my WeldSafe mat out of the box and laid it on the floor but the edges aren't lying flat.

A: Please allow your workstation welding mat to acclimate to the environment for 24-48 hours. Once it has acclimated the edges will lay flat.

Q: Does this mat pose a tripping hazard?

A: Our WeldSafe mats are machined beveled (sloped edge) on all four sides. This allows for a smooth transition on and off the mat and does not pose a tripping hazard.

Q: Where is WeldSafe made?

A: WeldSafe mats are manufactured in the USA by Wearwell.
